Top 4 Ways DNS Will Help You Survive the Holiday Season

1. Did wife trick you into a trip to the mall? Did you forget to DVR the football game? Login via your smart phone and record it!

2. Has your kid been begging you for the hottest toy of the season? Don’t get trampled at your local store the day before Christmas trying to get your shopping done (you waited that long, really?), order it easily online knowing that the website is hosted with reliable DNS! (well hopefully it is…) Now all you have to do is hope that UPS or FedEx is just as reliable ; )

3. Going out of town? Make sure your house (and all of your presents!) are safe while you are away by setting up a security camera and viewing it remotely!

4. Supposed to be back at work on Tuesday, but end up snowed in while visiting family across the country? Easily access all of your files and work from wherever you happen to be stuck! (Just as long as you have an internet connection)

  1. Well, DNS can help me when I’m haveing my Synology DS411j station up and running. Had trouble today as I was not warned that my mail-box for l.johansen@getmail.no was filled and any incoming mail was returned.
At NO-ip this resulted in that when my DDNS was trying to log in my site were closed and I could not get connected. When trying to log in at NO-ip I had to give You a new mail adress, l.johansen@live.no. Your system was tight and did what it was supposed to do, but I was left in the dark and still working on logging in to my DNS from the routers setup menu. Will try as I did earlier with l.johansen@live.no as mail-adress to see if that is changed as well as some other sites.
BUT NOW I TRIED TO BY A SSL CERTIFICATE AS I WAS BROUGHT TO YOUR SITES FROM A MAIL YOU SENT ME, WITH A PROMISE OF REBATE. I filled in the forms to the best of my knowledge and my rebate cupon: DEC30 was rejected, without telling me earlier that it was not valid any more.
AND ANOTHER THING: THE ORDER DOES NOT MENTION A WORD ABOUT ME HAVING BOUGHT A SSL-CERTIFICATE!
I think what I just payd for is payed for earlier.
In that case You have tricked/lured myself to spend extra money, with no rebate and not a SSL-certificate, and that is not what I want at all!
Can You confirm that I will get a SSL-certificate as soon as possible?
I will also clame rebate as promised!
    Regards
    Leif Johansen l.johansen@getmail.no /l.johansen@live.no
