2016 Year End Wrap Up

2016 did not disappoint for the No-IP team. We had lots of fun and celebrated a bunch of successes this year. Learn about everything that No-IP did below!

25 Million Customers and 17 Years of No-IP

We reached this incredible milestone after what seems like just a short time ago that No-IP had its humble beginnings in a tiny college dorm room. 25 million customers and 17 years later our team couldn’t be more proud of the brand and company we are today.

Inc. 5000 List of Fastest Growing Private Companies

For the THIRD year in a row, we earned a spot on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies. We are among 21 other companies based in Nevada to make the list and are 1 of only 4 Nevada companies to make the list three consecutive years. This honor makes us a part of an elite group of companies like GoPro, Loot Crate, and Patagonia, who continue to grow and succeed in our respective industries.

Launched our Configuration Assistant

In August, we launched our new configuration assistant in my.noip.com. The assistant walks you through the process of creating and configuring your No-IP hostname, so you can access your services. The product launched in beta in August and has gone through many changes with many more changes to come in the near future. Have you used our Configuration Assistant?

Launched Our First iOS Dynamic Update Client

This year we launched our beta No-IP iOS Dynamic Update Client to make dynamic IP updates easier than ever. Our new app removes the need to keep a computer running on your network if your router or device doesn’t support No-IP as an integrated Dynamic DNS provider. Although the app is still in its beta, it has proven to be a top pick for many of our customers. We are also adding more features and rolling out fixes to existing bugs in the iOS version. Download the No-IP app today and let us know what you think! Don’t worry Android users, we will be rolling out an Android version sometime this Spring, so stay tuned!

Presenters at Atlassian Summit

Two No-IPers had the privilege of hosting a talk at the 2016 Atlassian Summit in San Jose, CA. The talk explained our new way of approaching and completing new projects and work. Attendees left armed with the steps necessary to achieve a development culture like No-IP’s, where self-management, self-regulation, and ownership are a priority over a top-down approach. Check out the video from the presentation.

Hosted a Food Drive and Adopted 2 Families for Christmas

We hosted our 3rd Annual Giving Thanks, Food Drive which benefitted the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, an organization that helps feed more than 95,000 people within the local community. In one short week, the No-IP team collected over 600 pounds of nonperishable food items. We also took it one step further and adopted two families for Christmas. Through a local non-profit agency, The Children’s Cabinet, we were able to adopt two families in desperate need of help. The families we adopted were both single mothers with two young children. The team at No-IP enjoys giving back to our community that we all love so much.

Switched to Zendesk

Since the beginning of No-IP, our Customer Success team has used an in-house ticketing system. We decided that it could use some major improvements to improve the workflows of our Customer Success team and it didn’t make sense to manage it in-house anymore. We researched lots of different vendors and decided Zendesk fit our needs the best. We migrated everything over and have been loving it ever since.  This past year alone we answered over 30,000 Support Tickets and thousands of phone calls. We pride ourselves on our Customer Success. We are 100% based in Reno, Nevada and we never outsource any of our support. Kudos to the Customer Success team for helping our customers get answers and get configured.

Profiled on The Muse

We launched a profile on The Muse to help others learn about No-IP and what makes our culture so unique. We have many job listings currently posted. Learn more about a few of our employees and what it’s like to work at No-IP. Do you live in Reno-Tahoe or surrounding areas, or are you thinking of relocating to the Reno-Tahoe area? We have many job openings and would love to learn more about you! Drop your resume in PDF form to hr@noip.com.

While this year has been one of our best yet, we are even more excited about what the future holds for No-IP and can’t wait to share with you some of the new products we plan to offer in the coming months. Since 1999, our customers have been spreading the word about No-IP and the helpful services that we offer. We wouldn’t be where we are today if it weren’t for all of you. Thank you for being loyal customers and choosing No-IP as your Dynamic DNS and Managed DNS provider! What’s your favorite thing about our services? Prices, features, our customer success team?
