Notice About Monitor Service: What do the Different States Mean?

These are the main states that a service can be in.

  1. Step 1

    Normal: Everything is running fine

  2. Step 2

    Warning: The device is not working correctly, or it is responding slowly.

  3. Step 3

    Critical: Monitoring was unable to communicate with your device.

  4. Step 4

    Unknown: Monitoring did not understand the response from your device.

  5. Step 5

    Recovery: The device was in a critical state, but is now working.

  6. Step 6

    Offline – For Advanced Monitoring only: The offline settings for the hostname have been enabled.
