FAQs

Do I have to transfer my domain to use No-IP?

Domain transfer is recommended, but not required. No-IP is a fully accredited ICANN domain registrar, so many customers choose to transfer their domains to us in order to keep all domain management tasks in one easy place. However, if preferred you can also leave your domain at your current registrar and point the domain to No-IP’s nameservers.

How does No-IP help ensure email deliverability and prevent spoofing for client domains?

No-IP employs three leading protection technologies to keep our clients’ email safe: Sender Policy Framework (SPF), DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM), and Domain-Based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance (DMARC). These technologies work together to improve email deliverability and visibility, prevent email spoof attacks, and help clients to strengthen and enforce their email policies.

What makes No-IP a better fit for Managed Service and IT Providers than my current registrar or DNS provider?

No-IP has been known as the DNS experts for 25 years, and our deep experience makes us well-equipped to handle client portfolios of any size. Our robust, user-friendly dashboard makes managing DNS records a breeze, and our 150 global Anycast locations provide industry-leading resolution times and reliability.

Why should I choose No-IP over other DNS providers?

No-IP is the only DNS provider that has built a DNS platform specifically for the needs of MSPs and Managed IT Providers. Our consolidation features and APIs make it easy to manage dozens or even hundreds of DNS configurations simultaneously, giving you everything you need to exceed client expectations and grow your revenue.

What kind of support and onboarding does No-IP offer for MSPs and Managed IT Providers?

Our expert-level DNS Technicians are here to help you be successful. During your onboarding phase, the No-IP team can help set up your DNS, import zone files, and/or answer any questions you may have on DNS configuration and best practices. As ongoing support needs arise, you’ll always be connected with an experienced DNS professional who knows what they’re talking about.
